Together we can help our students reach their potential
What is Title 1?
Students at Tidioute Community Charter School are selected for our Title 1 targeted assistance program using a variety of assessment data and input from teachers and parents.
We currently use the MAP assessment and DIBELS in addition to feedback provided by the school staff and families.
Struggling readers often have a hard time decoding words. Difficulty with decoding leads to labored reading and frustration. Teaching kids strategies to decode unknown words builds fluency.
Some students can read anything that you put before them, but struggle to understand what they are reading. Providing kids with strategies to make meaning of the text helps to build comprehension.
Providing students with the tools they need to be successful in reading will carry through to other subject areas making their overall educational experience a positive and successful one.
The Tidioute Community Charter School receives the following funding from the Department of Education to help fund the following programs.
